Journey with Mandara into the ancient healing arts of Indonesia. This course explores the many ways that the power of nurturing touch and pure nature have been used since centuries past Indonesia for Health and Beauty.
Day One – focus on the preparation and application of botanical body treatments.
Balinese Boreh – a body mask made from warming spices used to sooth and heal sore muscles, invigorate sluggish circulation. Used traditionally by rice farmers to sooth and warm their legs after a long day in the rice paddies.
Javanese Lulur – a body polish made from turmeric, sweet woods and rice flour used to gently remove dead skin cells and fragrance the skin. Originated in the 17 the century palaces of Central Java.
Day Two -
Learn to confidently perform a Balinese 30-minute Back and Shoulder massage that provides deep relaxation, reduces tension, boosts circulation, and encourages flexibility.
Day Three –
Learn to prepare the traditional and ultra-refreshing Lemongrass Tea, sweet stalks are crushed to extract maximum flavour and boiled to infuse the water – blended with Java black tea and honey this energizing beverage is antioxidant rich and believed to soothe the stomach, reduce bloating and reduce bodily inflammation. Served hot or iced – a great treat at home or as a pre-treatment tonic for your Salon or Spa Guests.
Perform a traditional body scrub and massage from Day 1 and 2 lessons.
This course is delivered by fully qualified trainers. No previous Spa experience is required. On successful completion of this course students will receive a Mandara Spa Training Center Certificate.
